What we forget

Greetings Jim:

It has been three years since February 2020. Three years since the debts of the four years of Donald Trump’s fake presidential administration became known and we needed to pay. Three years since the world, the only known one that can inhabit humans, came this close to being destroyed in a nuclear conflagration. You and I know this to be true. We know that the nursing home deaths were needed to effectively alter the plans for a nuclear war: 12,000 deaths of elderly in New York as opposed to 12,000,000 deaths in an immediate nuclear exchange targeted at New York City. One day, this fact will be known to all. It is time to prevent a nuclear exchange once more.

We are seeing once again rabid anti-Communist Republicans and military lifers clamoring for a war against the People’s Republic of China. Once more, the Democratic Party is expected to acquiesce to the demands of armchair warriors. And once more, the policy of the United States Government with respect to China does not understand China’s upper hand. Put it this way: if, theoretically, a war in the Chinese mainland were to take place and include nuclear weaponry, and the population would be decreased by 70%: there would still be close to 320 million Chinese citizens still alive. The same amount as the total population of America. Enough to still maintain a well-armed defense force and invade any nation deemed a threat. And since we have been following the official statements of the CCP, the recent shootdown of the reconnaissance weather balloon could very well be met with retaliation that, for a starting point, may begin with the long gestation period of Taiwan being invaded. Where that goes afterwards is something we may not all get to see; for we could be dead from a nuclear war.

It seems to me a minor inconvenience about the whereabouts of one reconnaissance weather balloon when the U.S. Military has 400 bases in south and east Asia. Including one in at least every country bordering China. In Japan alone, there are 23 bases covering much of the nation. From what I can tell, there has not been any discussion within the international community about removing overseas bases by way of fellow military conflict. I am sure it has been discussed, yet it would appear certain countries are aware of the doctrine of Mutually Assured Destruction. That does include us, for the moment. Now, one way to extinguish the flames of war would be for the United States Government to decommission several their own bases and even a few of their nuclear weaponry. It might just be one of the few remaining diplomatic gestures we can make that will tone down the rhetoric and keep the war hawks at bay. It does pain me to have to mention this again at a time when there are so many other issues that are just as important. Yet for me, and I suppose you think similarly, the threat of war and human annihilation is more important than all issues put together. We knew this during Spring 2020. This time, it feels more explicit. And we need to remember: a war or disaster can occur at any time without warning. Let us heed the warnings now and seek peace.

“I do not know with what weapons World War 3 will be fought. But I do know how World War 4 will be fought: with sticks and stones.” - Attributed to Dr. Albert Einstein.

Best Wishes and Kindest Regards,

Robert Kelly

I'm still unclear on the AlfaBank thing and how Mensch was involved. Could somebody link to a clear explainer on that from Jim or somebody that shares his take on that.

I don’t see any other explanation since the insurrection continues to roll on, with the orchestrators of the coup positioned in Congress and their leader still at large encouraging violence on his behalf. I can’t see this ending well, but I hold on with irrational hope.

There were a few other notable disinformation pieces that came out of these networks during the 2016 election cycle yet PizzaGate and AlfaBank were the ones that worked most effectively.
